To my North Country readers…I wish I was there….:( I wish I was staying with her and visiting with her and meeting her for the first time in person. And of course meeting Baby Jameson and seeing all the other Sinclair clan. I’m sad:( But there will be another time.

For now I’ll celebrate that Maygen did NOT need a blood transfusion and that she really is doing very well!!! So I guess I’ll plan for next summer! I think by then both her and I can visit our dear friend.

Here are some photos from the wedding.

Maternity clothes

I consider myself to be fairly coordinated but when it comes to maternity shirts somehow I always manage to get a stain/mark on my shirts. I’m not sure if it’s b/c of my growing belly and I haven’t gotten used to the dimensions or is it that pregnant women are more clumsy or is it I’m crazy??? I wear normal shirts a lot more (except in the last 3 years) and never get anything on them. As soon as I put on a maternity shirt food and everything else seem to find their way on to my shirt…hmmm???? The question of the year:) Well that’s it. Now that I’ve written a blog with absolutely no purpose I’ll just leave it at that.

So last night I did it…move Maygen into her own room that is. She’s been sleeping in the bassinet in our room since she came home in March. She is so mobile now that she rolls over but doesn’t exactly have enough room to roll back over. So I cleaned the sheets and got the crib ready for Maygen. I told Tim I thought we should put her in her own room tonight. (He was just as unsure as I was…) So I laid her down and she looked at me very confused. She’s old enough to realize that she’s not were she normally sleeps. I left the room with the door open and the monitor on. I got into bed and laid there for quite some time before actually falling asleep. I know it’s ridiculous but I was afraid she’d wonder where I was. Would she be Ok? I couldn’t help but feel so far from her. But I knew this was the best for her. She feel into a very deep sleep, only woke at 3 to eat, and then slept until 8 this morning. I think the quietness of her own room helped in restful sleep! So we managed through the first night of Maygen in her own room and in her own big crib!

Weird how something so simple can seem so hard!?!??!?!

Today I’m trying to plan the rest of my week and/or month. Tomorrow we have a rehearsal for Tim’s brother Eric’s wedding. Tim and Erin are both in the wedding. Then Friday evening is the wedding. My sister and Corry are coming in for the wedding which will be really nice. Saturday we’re going to try and go to Penn’s Colony, a favorite craft show of mine. (Since my taste is mostly country furnishings I have to try and find stuff at craft shows b/c “normal” stores don’t carry such items.) Next week I have the normal PT, shot for me, cervical length sonogram, and Maygen has GI and Genetics, we have FPU and we’re leaving for her house on Thursday. The rest of the month is crazy busy…but so has the whole month so far:)

A Maygen update: She is doing so well with rolling and tummy time. She is rolling to get toys, and spinning on her belly to get to things also. She only weighs 8# 8 ounces:( Very small. Even for her corrected age of 6 months. She will be 9 months old tomorrow! I was reminded the other day at a doc apt that she really is a miracle. So often I’m used to the idea that she’s here and doing well so I forget what it took for her to get here. The doc was telling me about another women who delivered at 27 weeks but her baby didn’t make it. I immediately thought, wow, she really is a true work of the Lord. She was so sick and is doing so well. What a testament her life will be!

Ramblings:

I have to start going to the doctor once a week next week and continue for the next 20 weeks…I have to get my progesterone shot (this shot helps to delay the onset of early labor). But as I was telling Em I’d rather go once a week to the docs then have to go to the NICU again everday for 90 days. I’ll take the trade!

Erin has been sleeping in her big girl bed for about a week and a half. She’s doing very well. Hasn’t fallen out which is good b/c we have yet to purchase a bed rail…So go Erin and go Jocelyn!

If you want to experience Wal-mart and have it be enjoyable go during the first Steeler game of the season…NO PEOPLE anywhere! I could think about purchases, I wasn’t pushing and pulling a cart (Tim kept the girls) and I had NO wait to check out!

I bought 2 pairs of pants, 5 long sleeved shirts, and 2 sweaters at Once Upon a Child for $38! Erin finally has fall clothing!

Maygen is big enough to wear all of Erin’s 0-3 month clothing. I think we’ll be in 3-6 at her first birthday…not bad b/c Erin was only in 6-9.

I have all my fall decorations out. I love burning fall candles…great smell.

We finally have both of the girls bedrooms together. It’s only taken 3 months…I actually have the clothes into the right closets and dressers and out of the clothes basket that I was using instead.

I’m making a trip up North at the end of this month. I can’t wait to spend time visiting with her!
